Single Hook vs. Dual Hook Sex Swings: Which is Right for You? | Buying Guide

Single hook or dual hook? It’s one of the first decisions you’ll make when buying a sex swing, and it affects installation, comfort and safety. Here’s how the two compare, based on years of installing, testing and selling both types.

Single hook swings

  • Easiest to install: you only need one mounting point.
  • Can spin: add a 360° swivel hook for spinning play.
  • Trade-off: the straps hang closer together, which puts more pressure on her hips. Swings with a wide overhead bar can also hit you in the head.

Dual hook swings

  • More comfortable: the seat spreads wider, giving her hips much more room.
  • More flexible mounting: door to door, door to wall, or outside from a tree.
  • Safer: your weight is split between two mounting points, and there’s no bar overhead.
  • Trade-off: you need two mounting points, and a dual hook swing can’t spin.

Our take: if comfort and safety come first, go dual hook. That’s why the Screamer Dual Hook is our #1 selling swing. If spinning is a must, go single hook. The WhipSmart‘s narrow 14 inch bar makes it our favorite for spinning.

Today we are going to talk about the benefits of a single hook and a dual hook. Okay?

So a single hook is gonna install super easy for you. It's only one mounting point, a single mounting point. Other great thing a single hook can do for you, if you want to be a little bit more adventurous, is you can add a 360 spinner, and then you can get a little adventurous and spin around in this thing.

Now, a dual hook is comfort. It's amazing, because it's so wide. You're gonna have a lot more width in your hips to move around, so it's super comfortable. Now, you do need two mounting points, but that's gonna give you so many more options. You can do door to door, door to wall, you can take it outside, hang it from a tree. It's a ton more options, and safety.

Safety is a huge thing. Safety is number one with dual hooks, because your weight is distributed between two mounting points, and there's no bar above your head. So safety and comfort all the way for a dual hook.
